Clark M. Zlotchew was born in New Jersey, USA. He has belonged to the U.S. Naval Reserve, has worked in New York City in the Export Department of a liquor company, has been Coordinator of an educational program for seasonal Hispanic migrant workers and has taught Spanish in high school.
Zlotchew has been a professor of Spanish language and Spanish and Spanish-American literatures at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Fredonia for decades. He is a literary critic, translator and fiction writer. He is the author of a military/action novel (under the pseudonym Cliff Garnett).
The short story that appears at Badosa.com, The Enigma of Reginald Savage (also available in Spanish), will be one of Zlotchew’s 17 stories in the collection, Once Upon a Decade: Tales of the Fifties, scheduled to come out this year (2009). Zlotchew’s short stories have appeared in English in U.S. magazines and in Spanish in Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico and the U.S.
